Sunday shopping and a appointment at the hairdresser

Linda, Kayal and I went shopping today and I got robed in the store. Wonder why??



The poor security guard on the picture over had nothing to do with me getting robed today, just so that is clear. Carma Team and I like to think that the person who took my money today was in deep need of it and hopefully the money will bring him or her something he/she really need, like food or a month of rent.



Linda and I went to the hairdresser to shake the experience that happend earlier today off, it worked out, don't you think? LOL :-))
Just kidding, we had planed this for a long time! :-)

Saturday in Chennai, September 19. 2009

First of all I want to wish my grandma happy birthday, she is 91 today and still going strong! I wish I could be with her on her special day!

After the show Linda and I went back to my hotel to relax and plan my last days here in South India.

Tropic rain started at 10pm and ended at 11pm, and you would probably think it came with a breaze, but nope... still as hot as it was before.

Sketch drawing, Washing unit and Pooja for the Carma Garments Office

I started the day with a class in sketch drawing, Schweetlau introduced me to a some people at the Instiute of Design which are helping me out and teach me about sketch drawing.

After class Raja, Kayal and Linda took me to the washing unit to show me how they use 100 different washing technics to affect the fabric in different ways.





This is the machine they use to get the latest fashion in denim, with worn out holes and stonewashed look!

All these fabrics are the same, but washed differently.

Pooja at Carma Garment Office today

I have been feeling a bit sick from the extreme high temprature here in South India the past two days, today the temprature was close to + 40 C and this is too hot for me, especially without aircondition A/C. I had to say no thanks to the Pooja invitation that the Carma Team was going to have for the Carma Garments Office, because of this.. Sorry guys, but the next time I'm in! :-)

Today I learned about CAD Software - Chennai September 17. 2009

Today I learned about the advantages and how to use the CAD software. I didn't actually learned how to use the software in just one day but they showed me how they did it. The complete course in CAD Fashion Designing is 3 months or 90 days. The course and the software is something I will put on my wish list for the future, but to start with I'm happy to learn fashion designing useing my creative hands.

The sound of Himalaya

I came a cross this video of my Master / Guru Vasant Swaha.

In the beginning of this video you can hear the sound of Himalaya. Everyday, all day long we could hear these horns playing from a distance. It was very magic and peaceful.

Learning about basic patterns - Chennai September 16. 2009

Yesterday the whole day through I thought that I'd lost my camera, so that's why it's no pictures taken yesterday. Luckly I found my camera under a pile of towels last night. :-))

Today Schweetlau took me to a University in Chennai to learn about basic patterns and show me how the students are working. It was most interesting and very fun!






























Today around lunchtime heavy rain started to poor down and the roads was flooded everywhere in just a few minutes. The air have been humid the whole day and it became even worse after the rain. Schweetlau and I decided to continue tomorrow since the power at the University was shut down and it became inexpressible hot and hard to breath without the fans. - And this is supposed to be winter season? How is it during summer season then? :-))

All Indians have darker ankles which look like bruises because of their buddha positions on the floor. They do most things on the floor, they eat and work on the floor, not that they don't have a desk but they like it that way.
